The end of the Camel Trophy in 2000 brought up great opportunities for international Off-Road events. As many as four times Camel Trophy events were held in Indonesia, participated by people from around the globe. The year 2020 was the 40th anniversary of Camel Trophy. Several international communities celebrated the milestone which has been vacuum for 20 years. In order to keep Camel Trophy spirit alive, Indonesian enthusiast successfully conducted SUMATRA TRIBUTE in early 2022. The Next mission is the BORNEO TRIBUTE. International participants are most welcome to experience the legendary expedition in Tropical Jungle of Borneo.
After a huge success in safely completing Camel Trophy re-track of approximately 1000 miles between Jambi and Berastagi, Sumatra, the next immediate journey is BORNEO TRIBUTE 2023. This is to honor the legendary Journey of Camel Trophy Borneo in 1985. The Borneo Tribute 2023 is scheduled to be conducted in May – June 2023. The Organizing Committee is preparing all necessary processes and requirements to ensure a safe and successful expedition.
