History
Sandglow was founded by a group of adventurer who share the same point of view in exposing the wonderful nature and culture of Indonesia. With various experiences in creating and managing events or trips throughout Indonesia since 2005, joined together to build even better journeys for people around the world to experience.
The Team
The individuals featured are people who are experienced and have successfully built their adventure capabilities, mostly in different scopes of technical and organization but all with a common goal as part of the team. Not to mention a long list of individuals behind the scenes who also assist and play important roles that will support the operation of the organization.
Greeffion Kamil
Affectionately known as Fionk, he is a professional architect along with nationwide experience in off-road events and expeditions dating back to the early nineties.
He has previously led the Landy Challenge Indonesia 4×4 Expedition, Battle of the Best, Berau Tropical Challenge and many other events along with being the Event Director on a the 2022 Sumatra Tribute honoring the spirit and re-tracking of the 1981 Camel Trophy. Fion aspires to be as a professional Adventure Event Organizer and part of Indonesia’s flourishing tourism industry, one that focuses on 4×4 off-road adventure events and other leisure related tours.
Saeful Hasyim
With his motto of ‘Dream it, Make it and Share it’ Saeful believes that positive creatives and the adventure lifestyle are worth sharing.
From his former career in a high level management position with Citibank and now presently employed as a Site Manager with a national salt desalination company, quality & performance are attributes that Saeful has in droves. He has a keen interest in photography, golf & ice hockey. He is what you would call a true Land Rover enthusiast who is passionate about adventure. With his love of all things adventure, as an event organizer he is excited to be involved in the setting up of a one-stop 4×4 adventure event to share the wonders of Indonesia and as his motto states ‘share it’.
Syamsu Setiabudi
Adventure events are high risk activities that must be well planned and organized with exceptional risk management.
It is imperative for any organization involved in recreational adventure events to have a high level of risk management expertise. Syamsu is an expert in the area of high level risk management. His career in management roles within the Drilling & Environmental industry he is responsible for the asessment of technical, health and safety protocols that protect employees from risk and harm in a high risk environment. Syamsu says, ‘Do it Right’ from the start. He is excited to share his knowledge, care & professionalism on driving adventures traveling the archipelago region that is Indonesia.
Bambang Pratesa
Bambang is a geologist and a true adventurer. He has experienced studying, working and living in many different parts of the globe and this has most certainly contributed to his passion in promoting the rich culture and wonderful natural wonders of Indonesia to the world.
Bambang, a former multinational energy company executive has extensive hands-on experience in stakeholders’ management. He is also instrumental in establishing and enhancing the organizations capability of multi-functional teams at various locations. Bambang strongly believes in the importance of local wisdom in the process of achieving the team’s objectives. He has participated in many humanitarian assistance and off-grid adventure activities, including the Berau Tropical Challenge in Kalimantan and more recently the 2022 Sumatra Tribute.
Tandon Padmodimuljo
Tandon, a key creative of visuals and publication works for the organization has grown up in various locations around the world that has developed & shaped him as a true citizen of the world.
He is a highly motivated indivual experienced in engaging with people from around the globe. He has participated in countless international four wheel drive events such as Rainforest Challenge, Borneo Safari, TransAmazon and many more. Tandon lives on the Indonesian island of Bali making him more than ever a player in world class tourism. He is very passionate about exposing the wonders of Indonesia to the world, especially through Adventure Tourism. With him SANDGLOW will become a host for adventure enthusiasts from around the world.
Ang Rid
Ang Rid is the most recent addition to the SANDGLOW team. With a background intourism he is responsible for taking care of the company’s administration, an equally important role within any organization and one he is ‘honored’ to be a part of.
